Subscription Cancellation Policy

How to Cancel

You can cancel your iStudee subscription at any time directly from within the app — no need to contact support.

Open iStudee
Log in to your account at istudee.app

Go to Account
Click your name in the left sidebar, then select the Account tab

Find your plan
Scroll to the "Current Plan" section

Cancel subscription
Click "Cancel plan" and confirm the prompt

Your plan will revert to the Free tier immediately after cancellation. No further charges will be made.

What Happens After Cancellation

  • Your account reverts to the Free plan immediately.
  • Free plan limits apply right away: 1 class, 5 student questions per day.
  • If you have more than 1 class, existing classes remain visible but students cannot start new sessions in classes beyond the first until you upgrade again or remove the extra classes.
  • All your curriculum uploads, class history, and student data are retained — nothing is deleted.
  • You can re-subscribe at any time from the Account tab or the Pricing page.

Billing and Refunds

  • iStudee subscriptions are billed monthly via Paystack.
  • When you cancel, you are not charged for any future months.
  • We do not provide refunds for the current billing period. Your cancellation takes effect immediately, but no partial-month refund is issued.
  • If you were charged in error or experienced a technical issue during payment, contact us at [email protected] within 7 days and we will review your case.

Disputes and Chargebacks

Before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card provider, please contact us at [email protected]. We resolve billing disputes promptly and directly. Chargebacks that are raised without first contacting us may result in your account being suspended while the dispute is reviewed.

Plan Downgrades

If you want to move from Premium to Plus (rather than cancelling entirely), contact us at [email protected] and we will adjust your plan manually. Self-serve downgrades between paid tiers will be available in a future update.

Enterprise Plans

Enterprise subscriptions are governed by a separate agreement. To cancel or modify an Enterprise plan, contact your iStudee account manager or email [email protected].
